Fees

Payment

It is expected that all fees are to be payed at the time of assessment or therapy. Fees can be paid in either cash, cheque or EFTPOS. Cheques can be made payable to Handy Kids Occupational Therapy.

Private Insurance

Handy Kids Occupational Therapy is a registered provider with most private health insurance funds. If you are unsure, if you are covered please contact your insurance company for details. 

Medicare Rebate

Handy Kids Occupational Therapy is also registered with Medicare, through the Enhance Primary Care Program (Allied Health Initiative). To claim through Medicare, a referral is required from your GP, however restrictions apply. If eligible, your child can recieve 5 sessions through the program per year.

Autism Spectrum Disorders

Children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder are eligible to claim additional Medicare rebates with a referral from a Paedaitrician under the Helping Children with Autism initiative. Up to 20 sessions can be claimed for children under the age of 15 years of age.

Handy Kids Occupational Therapy is a recognised panel provider FaHCSIA Helping Children with Autism initiave. Children under the age of 6 years and not attending full time schooling are eligible to obtain $12 000 of therapy (provided by panel members) over two years. Contact Autism Spectrum Australia on 1300 978 611 or www.fahcsia.gov.au/autism
